In conjunction with the exhibition, <em>The New Criterion<\/em>\u00a0just published <a href=\"https:\/\/newcriterion.com\/issues\/2019\/12\/there-ought-to-be-clowns\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;There ought to be clowns,&#8221;<\/a>\u2014a new article I wrote on the evolution of the series.
