La Stampa, which is according to the Wikipedia one of the best-known, most influential and widely sold Italian daily newspapers just published an article by Rocco Moliterni that ends with an unambiguous praise of LG Willams’ “impertinent” work. Tim Nye was behind the “Venice in Venice” show that was one if the satellites for this year’s Biennial. The inaugural exhibition of his new LA space features some of the same pieces shown in Venice alongside some other classics (Chris Burden’s police suit and Judy Chicago’s painted hood), and a few finish fetish like works by younger artists.
