LG Williams/Estate of LG Williams Work Shown at Artissima 18 Garners Attention from La Stampa and Grazia

La Stampa, which is according to the Wikipedia one of the best-known, most influential and widely sold Italian daily newspapers just published an article by Rocco Moliterni that ends with an unambiguous praise of LG Willams’ “impertinent” work. If you can read Italian you can check out the original article here.

Grazia.it posted another work by the artist (Happy People #1, 2007, 72 x 108″, mixed media on canvas) in the line-up of featured works for the article by Sara Shifano. The article is posted here, scroll through the images to see Williams’ work.

Brown & Nye

Tim Nye was behind the “Venice in Venice” show that was one if the satellites for this year’s Biennial. The inaugural exhibition of his new LA space features some of the same pieces shown in Venice alongside some other classics (Chris Burden’s police suit and Judy Chicago’s painted hood), and a few finish fetish like works by younger artists.
